"TOKYO MIKOSHI" that the final 15 figures are completed as one large costume is a project characterizing Tokyo, the city where we live, as "TOKYO",
and embodying our current sensibilities and feelings on that character.
"TOKYO MIKOSHI" does not have the ultimate goal of showing its shape, but rather exists as an environment for creation of an environment
that deliver dance to the audience in a different presentation than ever before, expressing our own thoughts on Tokyo and our daily lives.
While placing emphasis on connections with other artists and with the audience, I hope to be able to present each artist's character in a strong way.
This time, not only dancers but also musicians will perform live, and the integration of sound and dance will be visualized in a way that is easier to understand than before,
increasing the audience's interest and interest, and leading to a further understanding of contemporary dance.
I am confident that by using the very familiar motif of "TOKYO" for both those performing and those watching,
it will lead to a sense of unity in the scene, as well as a shared sensibility, sensibility, aesthetic sense, and values.
