SAN DIEGO Jul 25-26, 2025
10 years after crossing the ocean, my grandmother lost her husband in the U.S. and returned to Japan to leave her two children with her parents.
She returned to U.S. to work again, and In1937,left after 20 years there.
What were her thoughts when he chose to return home with the footsteps of war approaching?
In place of her grandmother who no longer speaks about it, her 80-year-old grandson is now exploring the idea of "becoming an immigrant".
This is a story dedicated to my 100-year-old mother.
This time, Mademoiselle Cinema was invited by San Diego Dance Theatre, one of the largest non-profit performing arts organizations in San Diego, California.
In addition to performances, we plan to hold opinion exchange sessions and workshops, providing a forum for communication with local dancers.
We will also be holding showings and workshops at two locations: the San Diego Japanese Christian Church and Kinetissori (the city's only Montessori education institution).
It's been a while since the last "Journey of Dance" has been to America! This will be the only performance in Tokyo before the trip to America! Please support us and come to see us!
